As you know previously, I was asked to read and review LUCAN by Susan Kearney and was asked to review RION too, and I've been thrilled to have this opportunity! I was so thrilled when RION arrived and loved all the adventures in this book and the surprises that will be coming in the next book JORDAN. I so can't wait til RION is out and you've read it so that you can chat with me about this book and its surprised in here, especially one that took me away in this Futuristic Paranormal romance!
Rion Jaqard appeared in the first book of this Pendragon Legacy Series, LUCAN. Rion Jaqard is a mysterious hero from the planet Honor as well as a dragon shifter. Within Rion is so many secrets, that the reader will be thrilled with each they learn throughout reading RION. Rion is from the planet Honor but residing on Earth that he had previously traveled to with his friend Lucan. Rion has visions of the future of what will happen and attempts to change those outcomes. Some of these visions shows him what is presently or will be happening on his planet of Honor. As the visions show the cruelty that is happening to the people there, Rion knows he must leave to Honor as soon as possible to save his people. Marisa Roarke is the heroine of this book, the sister of Lucan. Marisa was previously divorced and very hesitate to trust Rion and when she does, her ability to trust again is damaged from Rion's secrets.
With the Unari, which are a race of most powerful partners in the coalition of evil that makes up the tribes,that have overtaken and invaded Honor, Rion needs to go back to his planet and save it. The Unari's creed is for total domination, total darkness, to crush all hope and let no one escape from them. He needs Marisa's powers. With the portal to Honor closed, called The Infinity Circle, and guarded by the Unari, Rion kidnaps Marisa and takes her to Stonehedge and seduces her to use a vault to bring them both to the planet of Tor so they can go from Tor to Honor to save Rion's planet. Rion plans in kidnapping Marisa is to have her use her powers in telepathic to calm dragon shapers simultaneously by communicating with an entire group of dragon shapers and also connect with their emotions all at the same time together. If she can use her powers to talk to all the dragon shapers at once, she can help Rion have a large powerful group to overtake the invaders on his planet Honor. Tor is also an enemy planet that have Enforcers, who are lawmakers, that capture them upon their arrival. There has been conflict with Honor and Tor since the King Arthur times. During that time a man named Gareth had two sons, Tor and Honor which they then had their own planet. Gareth only had resources to save one of them and chose Honor, which was a world of dragon shapers. Tor has jealously as well as fears of Honor's shape-shifting abilities. The people on Tor are called Torans and the people on Honor are called Honorans, As Rion and Marisa go through many adventures and dangers that are so gripping with intensity and passion, Marisa learns more about Rion's secrets. With Rion's help of his friends Drake and Phen and the owl Merlin that flew with them on this trip to Tor, they use a ship that's in despair to travel to Honor. With the ship converting to protecting and helping them to arrive to Honor after being attacked, they arrive with realizing how badly the Unari has overtaken Honor. Antigravs, which was put in the air by the enemies Unari on Honor, are preventing them from dragon shifting because Antigravs makes it painful and torturous for them to stay in that state of shifting. Together with Rion, Marisa and others on Honor that have not been overtaken by the Unari's, they fight to take back Honor and free their people of the torture that they have endured. With powerful and astonishing feats, they are able to do this as well as grow in their trust and love with one another.
This book of RION by Susan Kearney has even more adventures of dangers and passions that the reader does not want to miss. Finding out so many secrets of Rion as well as the powers that Rion and Marisa have together are breathtaking! The reader will be immersed into this book and the total surprise of the upcoming book of JORDAN by Susan Kearney will be an exciting surprise and will so anticipate his story! As the adventures were so gripping throughout the book, too, the trust that Marisa grows for Rion and the trust too that Rion builds of letting go of his secrets and accepting who he is, makes Rion and Marisa even stronger together in their passion. It can't be emphasized enough how astounding this book, RION is by Susan Kearney. This futuristic series is the best this year and one to be watched for more of from Susan Kearney. Watch out for JORDAN coming March 2010 from Forever - Grand Central Publishing. If you haven't read LUCAN yet by Susan Kearney, the first book in the Pendragon Legacy Series, its still available and one not to miss. The books do stand alone in that the author explains the terms used in this series, but it really helps to read the first book of LUCAN plus you won't want to miss his and Cael's story either!
